Buying a car can be a difficult or even painful process. Our goal at Camelback Ford is to help make that process as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Your new or used automobile is generally the second largest purchase you will ever make. We respect that you have chosen to make this purchase with us and we owe it to you to honor your time and your money.
So what's involved with buying a car? In this article, we'll go over the buying process in depth.
1. Opening upon arriving at the dealership, we feel it is our responsibility to offer you a warm greeting to welcome you. A lot of dealerships have "lot sharks" that circle and wait for a "victim" but we want to throw off that stereotype with a warm greeting that focuses on YOU and YOUR needs.
2. Step inside to do some fact finding. We're not going to go straight out onto the lot and waste your time for hours looking at vehicles you don?t want! We want to sit down and discuss what you are looking for and what you need in a vehicle. Help us in that process by being forthright with any concerns or hot issues you have in a vehicle: i.e. Must have 3rd Row, must have great economy, etc.
3. After we discuss what you need in a vehicle, we'll need to evaluate what you are currently driving. We'll test drive it, inspect the condition, etc . We do this so we can find out what you like or don't like - about your current vehicle so we know what to look for or to avoid! If you are doing a trade in, this information will also be passed over to our skilled evaluators to get you the most accurate price. You?ll probably meet a manager or other staff member during this phase!
4. So armed with your needs, your likes or dislikes, we will then head out to the lot to the vehicles that fit your qualifications. We will show you a good, better, best approach and let you decide where your comfort level is on price or payment.
5. When you pick one that grabs your eye, we'll take it for a spin around the block. During the short trip, we'll explain features and benefits and even demonstrate some of the technology ? like SYNC or MyFord Touch on equipped vehicles.
6. When we get back, we?ll take a time out for coffee, water, or a break. Think about your demo did the sales person not answer any question you had? Is there more information you would like about that vehicle?
7. Now we get down to the serious business of buying a car ? the paperwork. Our goal is to give you a great deal and to make a little money at the same time. We believe that all deals should be win-win. We?ll write up the vehicle you test drove so we can look at the numbers.
8. Next we begin to look at the numbers together ? Do you want tint? Other add-ons? Bedliner? Etc.
9. Then the fun part negotiation! This shouldn't be a painful procedure, but fun and even educational part of buying a car the goal is to get to win-win!!
10. Once we agree on a win-win situation, one of our managers will speak to you in order to make sure the sales person did their job effectively and to make sure all of your questions and concerns are answered.
11. Once everyone is happy and in agreement it's off to Finance! More on that in the next time!
We hope that by being upfront about what to expect will be beneficial to you. We really do want you to have a great experience buying a GREAT product a Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury vehicle.
Thank you for choosing Camelback Ford for the purchase of your next automobile!
