New Vehicle Limited Warranty

Ford's New Vehicle Limited Warranty will cover the cost of replacing components on the car that need replacement, adjustment, or repairs based on manufacturing defects due to materials or workmanship. Bumper to Bumper coverage lasts 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Powertrain Warranty

The Powertrain Warranty provides financial coverage for necessary components to power the vehicle for up to five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. This includes the transmission, axle, engine, and wheels.

Diesel Engine Coverage

Along with the regular Powertrain Warranty, Ford has a special coverage plan specifically for its vehicles with diesel engines. The Diesel Engine Coverage Warranty lasts for five years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The engine, head gaskets, injectors, and turbo components are covered with the Diesel Engine Warranty.

Corrosion Warranty

The Corrosion Warranty plan lasts for five years, independent of the mileage you have on your Ford. This plan will cover the cost of replacing aluminum body panels or sheet metal on the Ford that is damaged from corrosion with regular use.

Safety Restraint Warranty

Ford's Safety Restraint Warranty is a factory warranty that covers the costs of parts in the Ford Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) that need replacement, along with safety belts that need to be replaced. The warranty covers replacement for all components for up to 60,000 miles or five years, whichever is first.

Emissions Defect Warranty

Ford's Emissions Defect coverage applies to passenger cars and light-duty trucks up to 8,500 pounds. This coverage lasts for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, and 5 years or 50,000 miles for heavy-duty vehicles.

Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Warranty

Hybrid and electric cars are covered through this warranty, which is added on as a factory standard. The warranty will vary based on the car's powertrain.

Additional Protection Plans
