One of AZ PBS’ most popular local programs, “Check, Please! Arizona,” has inspired a series of tantalizing food festivals. The next upcoming event takes place on Sunday, March 20 at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.
Once again, numerous restaurants from cities across Arizona will bring their A-game, serving delicious food samples and a variety of cuisines. Just a few of the 20+ restaurants that will participate in the event include The Dhaba, Tarbell’s, Nook Kitchen, Flavors of Louisiana and Cucina Tagliani. Along with food, a fine selection of craft beer and wine will be available for tastings.
The Check, Please! Arizona Festival also includes cooking demonstrations from local chefs, such as Eddie Matney from Eddie’s House and Lester Gonzalez from Cowboy Ciao. Fascinating panel discussions will also take place, giving avid foodies plenty of enlightening information to chew on.
Special guests at the event this year include Lidia Bastianich from the hit PBS show “Lidia’s Kitchen,” as well as Barbara Pool Fenzl who hosts “Savor the Southwest.” In addition, the original creator of “Check, Please!” and the host of the AZ program, David Manilow and Robert McGrath respectively, will also be attending.
