You can get the 2026 Ford Mustang in one of six trim levels.The base model of the Mustang family is the EcoBoost. With this trim, you'll get LED headlights and 17-inch wheels. A dual exhaust system is standard for both style and performance. The EcoBoost includes keyless entry and dual-zone climate control. Cloth upholstery is standard, and a leather gear shifter adds a touch of upscale ambiance. Tech features include a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 13.2-inch infotainment display, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel.
Up next is the EcoBoost Premium. This model upgrades to synthetic-leather seats and adds ambient interior lighting. A heated steering wheel is standard, and the front seats are heated and ventilated. This trim also gets an upgraded sound system, proximity-sensing exterior lights, and power-adjustable mirrors.
The GT trim adds a decorative and functional hood vent, larger brake rotors, and distinctive trim-specific styling accents.

The Dark Horse trim ramps up the lineup with even more to offer. It features engine oil coolers, a B&O sound system, custom 19-inch wheels, an active exhaust system, and unique styling and badges.
The Dark Horse Premium builds on the Dark Horse with track-focused upgrades - a roughly 500-hp 5.0L V8 (available with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic), MagneRide® dampers, high-performance Brembo® brakes, heavy-duty engine/transmission/diff coolers, and an optional Handling Package and RECARO® seats for buyers who want an even more track-capable Mustang.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Mustang Have?
The EcoBoost trims use a turbocharged 2.3L engine that produces 315 horsepower. The GT trims use an upgraded 5.0L V8 that generates up to 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The Dark Horse produces about 500 horsepower.
