Good for a hearty 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque, this turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder may be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

We also appreciate this engine for its overall efficiency. A manual-equipped EcoBoost, for instance, returns a robust 26 mpg combined (22 city/31 highway).
