Give three cheers for the Ford Transit! Hip, hip, hooray! The all-new Transit has become America's best-selling commercial van, selling more units than any of its competitors in the months of November and December. Now the leader of the commercial segment, the new 2015 Ford Transit beats out the Chevy Express, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, GMC Savana, Nissan NV and other models.
The new-for-2015 van has taken the commercial segment by storm, offering affordable and versatile cargo and passenger vans with modern features and great fuel economy, attributes which made Transit an appealing van choice for the TV show "American Pickers." This past December, 10,030 Transits were sold nationwide, which is far more than rivals managed to sell. In fact, most sold nearly half as many models or less, like the Express at 5,611 units, Sprinter at 3,288 units and NV at 1,554 units. Learn more about the Transit lineup below!
2015 Transit Van
Ford's E-Series cargo van successor, the full-size 2015 Transit, offers two wheelbases, three body lengths and three roof heights. Thanks to its lighter weight, Transit gets a boost in its fuel economy, tow and haul ratings compared to its predecessor.
2015 Transit Wagon
The Transit Wagon is more maneuverable and fuel efficient than its predecessor, the full-size E-Series passenger van. It also offers two wheelbases, three body lengths and three roof heights, but unlike its cargo hauling companion, the Transit Wagon provides seating for eight to 15 people.
2015 Transit Connect
For small business owners and families, the Ford Transit Connect provides a great combination of comfort and functionality, plus it's a more agile performer than larger sized minivans and full-size vans. Swing-out cargo doors, dual-sliding rear doors and seven passengers seating are just a few of its highlights.
