Many new Ford models are now offered with the brand-new SYNC 3 infotainment system, which is a replacement for the outgoing MyFord Touch and SYNC platform. To see how the new SYNC 3 interface works, check out the video below. Also, if you’d like to learn more about how the system differs from its predecessor, please view details below the video.

STREAMLINED, EASIER TO READ MENU
Offering a better user experience, SYNC 3 includes a more streamlined menu layout, as well as larger icons and an overall cleaner look that makes the menu easier to read and navigate.

FASTER & MORE INTUITIVE SCREEN
SYNC 3 processes commands faster, whether one uses touch or voice functions. Plus, you can expect a more intuitive experience when using the screen, which is now capacitive rather than resistive, so you can swipe to scroll and pinch to zoom in or out.

ENHANCED VOICE RECOGNITION
Also designed to comprehend natural speech to a higher degree, SYNC 3 can better understand voice commands. Here’s just one example: When stating an address, you no longer have to say “One One Two Five Main Street.” Instead you can simply say, “Eleven Twenty-Five Main Street.”

In addition, SYNC 3 fully incorporates Ford AppLink; with the outgoing infotainment system, AppLink only worked with SYNC and not MyFord Touch. Now it’s fully integrated in Ford’s new infotainment system and it continues to offer one of the most comprehensive selections of in-car mobile applications.
