An annual tradition at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden, The Great Pumpkin Festival delights visitors of all ages with autumn festivities, such as an awesome hay bale maze, pumpkin decorating, pony rides and more!
The event, which runs from Oct. 23-25, 2015, is a great way to celebrate the fall season, while taking in Arizona's unique southwestern landscape and beautiful fall weather. Kids 12 and under can pick out a carving pumpkin from the garden's pumpkin patch and engage with adorable farm animals at the onsite petting zoo. Carnival style games and food concessions are also part of the fun just like last year. As far as the latter, when you're hungry Short Leash Hotdogs, Kettle Heroes and Fabulous Food Fine Catering will have items available for purchase.
In addition, musical performances will take place each day of the event. Arizona folk ensemble Run Boy Run will play at the Event Plaza all three days from 8:30 a.m. to noon, followed by Hurt County who will play the Plaza on the 24th and 25th from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. DJing will also be featured at the pumpkin patch daily.
Head to the Desert Botanical Garden this weekend to take part in The Great Pumpkin Festival and don't miss out on the fun! DBG is located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway.
