Specs at a Glance

The Ford F-150 is America's best-selling truck for the last 48 years, and it doesn't take much research to understand why. The model's base features often eclipse those of fully loaded lesser trucks. If you want the best a pickup truck has to offer, look no further than the F-150. Its XL trim is the first in the lineup, while its King Ranch lands on the far end. Both will differ mightily, so consider your must-have features when comparing these two.

Performance

Ford's F-150 XL trim has a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. With a 23-gallon fuel tank on just the regular cab, you have room to fill up and have plenty of adventures before stopping again. At 325 horsepower, productivity is a sure thing. Things still get better in the F-150 lineup, though. King Ranch trims boast a 400-horsepower 3.5L V6 engine. Also available for both the XL and King Ranch is a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine.

Appearance

The gorgeous XL trim is an excellent buy from our dealership if you prefer more sparsely decorated and economical pickups. It comes with some flash but focuses more on practical performance. The model's black front grille, bumper, and LED reflector headlamps are beautifully paired. Standard exterior features include bed storage boxes, a power lock tailgate, and heated side mirrors. King Ranch designs feature elegant features like a twin-panel moonroof, two-tone paint, LED box lighting, and a remote tailgate release.

Features

The interior and driver-assist features of the XL and King Ranch are different. XL trims boast black vinyl floor covering and vinyl seats. King Ranch trims are much more elegant and boast a Mesa leather-wrapped steering wheel, color-coordinated carpet with King Ranch floor mats, a full heads-up display, and ambient lighting. The musical experience of King Ranch trucks will also be elevated with a B&O Unleashed sound system. King Ranch trims also have additional standard safety features, such as Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and a powerful, clear head-up display. Whether you want just the basics or a nearly loaded pickup truck, these trims satisfy.

We invite all truck lovers to visit our dealership soon to compare the F-150 XL and King Ranch trims. Whether you want a little, a lot, or something in between, the F-150 delivers in style.
