What's New For the 2020 Ford Fusion?

The Ford Fusion has a leaner lineup in 2020 with the elimination of the V6 Sport trim. However, the vehicle itself remains fundamentally unchanged. There are three drivetrain and powertrain options for this year's Fusion, including a gasoline, hybrid, and hybrid plug-in edition. When you're driving the plug-in hybrid in electric mode, the vehicle even produces fewer carbon emissions. This leaves a smaller carbon footprint and makes you feel even better about the car you're driving. The latest Fusion comes nicely packaged in an attractive exterior characterized by modern, classy touches and bold lighting elements. Inside, a 12-speaker sound system, climate-controlled seats, a moonroof, and other creature comforts add to the Fusion appeal.

2020 Fusion has a Wide Selection of Options

There are four trim levels in the 2020 Ford Fusion. They start with the S, which is the base edition. The S, like its siblings, features the innovative SYNC infotainment system. A four-speaker sound system, MP3 compatibility, and a stereo with a CD player are standard features on the S. A comprehensive safety system, called the Ford Co-Pilot360, comes standard. This safety package has amenities inside and out, including rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high beams.

Both the driver's and front passenger's seats move in multiple ways for premium comfort. Dual-zone climate control is standard, and a cabin filter keeps the air clean. The SE gets a SYNC 3 infotainment system and a six-speaker sound system. Two 4.2-inch driver information display screens are standard, and heated front seats are optional. Two 12V outlets and an outside temperature display are standard too. Heated seats and a heated steering wheel are standard on the SEL, which is the third trim. A chrome-accented grille and spoiler are other highlights on the SEL. The Titanium upgrades to leather seats, which are also heated and cooled. The steering wheel is also heated, and a moonroof comes standard.

The second engine, standard on the SE and SEL, is a turbocharged V6 with a 1.5L capacity. Although it is smaller, this engine produces more power at 181 HP. It is also matched to a six-speed transmission. The third engine, which powers the Titanium, is a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo. This engine has a maximum power output of 245 HP at 5,500 RPM.
