Trims, Exterior & Interior Colors
Three trim levels are available: S, SE and the upscale Titanium. Several luminous exterior colors are offered as well, including Ingot Silver Metallic, Electric Spice, Shadow Black, Sunset, Deep Impact Blue, Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat, White Platinum Tricoat, Magnetic and Oxford White. For the cabin, shoppers can select a Light Stone or Charcoal Black interior.

Notable Tech Options
The former MyFord Touch infotainment system has been replaced with an all new SYNC 3 system, which is included in the optional SE Convenience Package (standard on Titanium). Also included in the package - and standard on Titanium - is a foot-activated power liftgate, which conveniently opens with the swipe of a foot under the rear bumper. Standard for no extra charge on all trims: a rearview camera, the base SYNC system with AppLink smartphone integration and voice controls, a USB port, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone and Audio Streaming, MyKey parental controls and more.

Three Engine Choices & Available AWD
The standard engine on 2016 Escape S trims is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 168 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque. This same engine is available as a cost-cutting option on SE models. Otherwise, the Escape SE and Titanium come standard with a turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that generates 178 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. On all but the base trim, a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 240 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque is optional.

Front-wheel drive is standard on all models and AWD is available with the two turbo engines. A six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with manual gear selection is standard on all trims. Escapes with the optional 2.0-liter engine have the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds.
