On National Geographic Channel's new science/comedy show, "Duck Quacks Don't Echo," host Michael Ian Black proposes that four coffee mugs can hold the weight of a truck.

To test out his theory, a regular cab Ford F-150 is suspended above a set of plain ceramic cups and then slowly lowered down on top of them. The truck weighs a massive 4,800 pounds, compared to the mugs, which we'd guess weigh no more than a few pounds total. Spoiler Alert: Answer Revealed Below

Black's proposal is based on the fact that the chemical bonds in ceramic are inflexible. While this makes ceramic brittle when being tossed or dropped on the ground, it also makes cups composed of the material incredibly strong when weight is evenly distributed on top of them.

With that said, we're guessing you're still just as surprised as us after watching the video. Like the F-150 is Built Ford Tough, these ceramic mugs are Built Cup Tough. Black not only proved that the mugs could hold a 4,800-pound truck, but also nine people, who were also asked to jump around at the end of the segment.

Now, when having your morning coffee, you may never look at your favorite "World's Okayest Brother" or "No. 1 Mom" mug the same again.
