What's New For the 2020 Ford Mustang?

For the 2020 model year, the Ford Mustang offers a new EcoBoost handling package. The 2020 Mustang also has increased engine output on its performance package. Finally, Ford Connect is now standard on all Mustang trim levels. The 2020 Mustang is part of the sixth generation that debuted during the 2015 model year.

The 2020 Mustang Has Many Features Across Several Trims

In 2020, the Ford Mustang is available in 5 trim levels. The five trim levels include the base Ecoboost Coupe, Ecoboost Premium, GT Coupe, GT Premium, and the Bullitt Edition. The Ecoboost Coupe comes standard with a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, USB connections, air conditioning, audio and cruise controls on the steering wheel, keyless ignition, electronic power steering, a rearview camera, power doors, and power windows.

The Ecoboost Premier trim comes with many features found on the Ecoboost coupe trim plus satellite radio, a nine-speaker audio system, climate control, turn signals in mirrors, and a universal remote transmitter. The GT coupe comes standard with an AM/FM stereo, USB connection, air conditioning, keyless ignitions, rear parking sensors, power windows, power doors, and heated mirrors.

The GT Premier trim comes with many features standard on the GT trim plus climate control, a nine-speaker B&O Premier audio system, leather satellite radio, steering wheel, leather shifter, RECARO leather-trimmed seats, multi-level heated drivers and passengers seat. The top-of-the-line Bullit Edition offers a number of exclusive features, including the BULLITT electronic package, a heated steering wheel, and BULLITT badging on the exterior and the interior.

2020 Ford MustangThe 2020 Ford Mustang comes standard with a 2.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that provides up to 310 horsepower. The GT Mustang comes standard with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that provides up to 460 horsepower. The GT Mustang can go from 0 to 60 in just 4.6 seconds. The Bullitt edition of the Mustang comes standard with the 5.0-liter V-8 engine found on the GT engine. However, the Bullitt edition Mustang has a boosted horsepower rating of 480 horsepower. This allows the top-of-the-line Bullitt Mustang to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds.

Which Safety Features are Available on the Mustang?

2020 Ford MustangWhen it comes to safety, the 2020 Ford Mustang offers over 20 standard equipment features including 4-wheel antilock brakes, an engine immobilizer, daytime running lights, front airbags, a post-collision system, child seat anchors, stability control, a remote anti-theft alarm system, front and rear ventilated disc brakes, LED headlamps, and auto delay headlamps.

In addition to these standard safety features, there are also optional safety features available, including turn signal mirrors and front fog lights. The 2020 Ford Mustang is considered on the safest performance vehicles in its class with a 5-star overall rating from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). The 2020 Mustang has also earned the highest possible crashing rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) on a number of different crash and safety tests.
