Ford Performance NASCAR Cup driver Austin Cindric has been selected to join the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team for the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He will substitute for endurance driver Ben Barker, who suffered a broken collarbone in a skiing accident during the holiday season. Cindric will be joining regular team members Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx in the Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3.
This will be Cindric's sixth opportunity to run the Rolex 24, and he is confident that the Mustang GT3 will help him make a great showing.
The Mooresville, NC-born Cindric is a multi-race winning driver in the premier NASCAR Cup series. One of his most significant recent wins was in the 2022 Daytona 500 when he won driving a Team Penske Mustang. Prior to his stock car racing career, Cindric competed in major sports car racing series across the country. He is a proven talent behind the wheel of Ford development vehicles such as the Mustang GT4, and he has made four Michelin Pilot Challenge appearances with Multimatic Motorsports at Daytona and a 2019 win alongside Priaulx at Road Atlanta.
2025 will be the 10th anniversary of Cindric's first race with Multimatic and Ford in Daytona. His team is delighted to have him back, and he says he looks forward to preparing for the upcoming race on January 26th.
