Cold weather reliability issues
By Ranger regret | on Thursday, January 08, 2026
I purchased a new 4x4 base model Ranger XL STX with the legendary and reliable 2.3L engine. At delivery, the truck would not start and required assistance before I could take it home. Shortly after, I experienced repeated cold-weather issues including loss of power steering assist, dashboard resets, and charging ports not functioning. The electronic steering system behaved unpredictably in cold temperatures, making the vehicle difficult to control. The following day the truck again failed to start. I contacted Ford customer service and was advised to pursue a buyback, but that process was later reversed. After a year of ownership and only 1,500 miles, the truck continues to have intermittent no-start and steering issues and is currently back at the dealership for diagnosis. I also learned that connected vehicle features require acceptance of extensive data-collection terms, which some buyers may want to review carefully. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this vehicle… - 5.0
Hard to explain, but is is definitely amazing
By SlinkTMP | on Saturday, January 25, 2025
I bought a used Ford Ranger Raptor with 2k miles on it. I was buying a new one but this had all the extra I would have put on the truck. This is an amazing and powerful truck and when you need the power, this vehicle has it. You will be at the gas station more, but the ride is worth it. The view in the truck for driving is amazing as you feel like you are sitting above everything but because it is a mid-size, it is nimble. If you want a fun truck, this is it. It is a Raptor that is 30k less than the Bronco and F-150. It is also top of the line and 10 K less than the Tacoma and Colorado, with a 6 cylinder.… - 5.0
Best midsize truck
By Soultilt | on Wednesday, July 30, 2025
This truck stock truly is a Swiss Army knife it will do everything at a high level will it be the best no but its versatility is unmatched. The F150 and Bronco raptor are awesome in their own rights but gigantic on the streets and hard to fit on tight trails. The nimbleness of the Ranger Raptor allows you to daily drive, rock crawl blast thru the desert all at the same time for a very reasonable price compared to the competition. Ford nailed it with the Ranger Raptor.…
