Phoenix Dealer Researching the New Escape Escape

Families and Millennials represent a huge portion of automaker revenues. These large groups hold a lot of clout, and it's the reason why the compact crossover SUV market has taken off over the past several years. There's hardly a better vehicle for the traditional family or streetwise suburbanite: plenty of room but still small enough to navigate city streets, and enough tech and convenience features to keep everyone happy. The 2013 Ford Escape hit the market last year with a slew of improvements inside and out, and buyers snatched up this fun-to-drive crossover SUV at unbelievable rates, breaking sales records in the process. The Escape returns in 2014 with new features, lower prices and a refined set of trim levels.

The 2014 Ford Escape is available in Phoenix in S, SE and Titanium trim levels. Three engine options are available: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 168 hp and 167 lb.-ft. of torque (standard on the Escape S only); a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder good for 178 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque (standard on Escape SE and Titanium); and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 240 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed transmission is standard on all trim levels and engine options, and front- and all-wheel drive is available on all but the entry-level Escape S trim level. Drivers looking for the most bang for their buck should consider upgrading to the 2.0 turbocharged engine for its impressive performance and towing capabilities.

In our 2014 Ford Escape review, we found that the interior offered a lot more than competitors like the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V. The sheer number of standard and optional features made it a much more desirable SUV - amenities include: rear parking sensors, keyless entry, Ford's SYNC infotainment system and MyFord Touch interface, leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, heated seats, a hands-free power lift gate, full power accessories, cruise control, climate control and so much more.
