2017 Ford Fusion - What's New

The 2017 Ford Fusion in Phoenix comes with a bundle of new technologies that make it stand out from the pack. From intuitive driver-assist features to a brand-new, passenger-friendly infotainment system, it's easy to see why buyers are choosing the new Fusion as their next car.

Offering four notable models this year: Fusion V6 Sport, Fusion Hybrid, Fusion Energi and Fusion Platinum, the sedan is able to accommodate drivers with different needs. Fans of gas-powered vehicles, electric cars and hybrids can each appreciate the 2017 Ford Fusion in Phoenix.

Features & Trims

In addition to the new Platinum and V6 Sport trims mentioned above, the Ford Fusion comes in S and SE trims. On these models, you'll find a selection of great features ranging from a rearview camera, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity to LED taillights, automatic headlights and a tilt-telescoping steering wheel.

On the Platinum trim, upgraded leather trim is added, along with a power-adjustable steering wheel and a unique grill insert. The V6 Sport adds 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, a nine-speaker audio system, quad exhaust tips and a variety of other components that boost its appearance. Both trims also come with Ford's brand-new SYNC 3 infotainment system, which is faster and easier to use than the outgoing MyFord Touch interface.

A 2.5L four-cylinder, generating 175 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque is standard on the S and SE trims. Buyers can also choose to outfit the SE with either a turbo 1.5L four-cylinder, delivering 181 horsepower and 185 lb.-ft. of torque, or a turbo 2.0L four-cylinder, producing 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque.

Several 2017 Ford Fusion reviews praise the V6 Sport's turbo 2.7L V6, which outputs 325 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Fusion Hybrid gets a 2.0L four-cylinder, battery pack and electric motor that combine to generate 188 horsepower, while the Energi comes with a 2.0L four-cylinder, battery pack and electric motor that work to deliver 195 horsepower. The Energi also features a 20-mile electric driving range.

Driver-Assist Safety Equipment

Dubbed the most technology advanced model to date in several 2017 Ford Fusion reviews, the new Fusion offers some of the best safety equipment on the market. Lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking, a Blind Spot Information System and a standard rearview camera are just a few of the excellent features drivers will have the opportunity to take advantage of.
