Trims & Features

The gas-powered Focus is available in S, SE, SEL and Titanium trims. There is also an electric model, which has been appropriately named Electric. If you're looking for something more performance oriented, there are also the ST and RS trims, each of which come equipped with a gutsy powerplant and sport-tuned suspension.

Budget-conscious drivers should consider the entry-level S, which comes with a slew of creature comforts. These include keyless entry, a height-adjustable driver seat, a 4.2-inch central display, voice controls, a USB port, Bluetooth and a four-speaker sound system.

Next in line is the SE, which can be had as a sedan or hatchback. Standards include 16-inch alloy wheels, a trip computer and a six-speaker sound system, to name just a few. The SEL is also offered in both body styles and comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a 10-speaker stereo system.

2018 Ford Focus reviews point out that the top-tier Titanium offers the most amenities. It comes with all of the above plus four-way adjustable headrests, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat and 17-inch wheels. The Electric model is similarly equipped but sports xenon headlights and unique taillights.

Powertrain Options

Most models are fitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers 160 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual and six-speed automatic are both offered. The SE sedan utilizes a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder that puts out 123 horsepower and 125 pound feet, while the hatchback uses the same 2.0-liter four as the other trims. A six-speed automatic is standard on hatch models, while sedan drivers can choose between the automatic and a six-speed manual.

The Focus Electric is moved by an all-electric motor that generates 143 horsepower and 184 pound-feet and is matched to a single-speed automatic transmission.

State-of-the-Art Safety

Valley freeways can be hectic and dangerous. Thankfully, the 2018 Ford Focus in Phoenix comes with a multitude of advanced safety gear that is designed to help keep you safe on our busy roads. Standards include antilock brakes, a driver knee airbag, side curtain airbags, and traction and stability control. Select models can also be had with advanced driver-assist systems like automatic high beams, lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
