Ford Lease Returns

Ford Lease Returns

As your lease term draws to a close, you'll need to make a few important decisions. Whether you're considering upgrading to a new Ford, keeping your current vehicle, or just returning the lease, we're here to help guide you through the options.

Option 1: Trade-in for a New Ford

When your lease is up, you have the chance to upgrade to one of the latest models available. You can easily transition into a brand-new Ford by trading in your leased vehicle.

Benefits of Leasing Again:

  • Stay Current: Enjoy the newest technology and features.
  • Lower Maintenance Costs: Most lease agreements come with maintenance plans, helping you save on repairs.
  • Possibly Lower Payments: Depending on your situation, your new lease payments could be similar or even lower than your current ones.

Option 2: Purchasing Your Leased Vehicle

If you've become fond of your current vehicle, you can choose to buy it.

Is a Buyout Right for You?

  • Vehicle Condition: Take stock of your vehicle's condition, including any wear, mileage, or needed repairs.
  • Market Value: Check your car's market value to gauge its future resale potential.
  • Financial Considerations: Review the total cost, including payments, interest, and depreciation, versus the buyout price.

Option 3: Returning Your Lease

Returning your leased vehicle is simple if you're ready to move on.

Pre-Return Inspection:

  • When: Schedule an inspection a few weeks before your lease ends.
  • What to Expect: A representative will inspect the car for damage or wear and tear.
  • Inspection Outcome: The condition will be evaluated against the terms of your lease agreement.

Final Return and Potential Charges:

  • Bring everything with you, including the lease agreement, keys, owner's manual, and any accessories.
  • Mileage Fees: You may be charged a fee if you've exceeded the mileage limit.
  • Damage Fees: Excess wear and tear, like dents or interior damage, might result in additional charges.
  • Disposition Fee: This fee helps cover the administrative work for processing the vehicle return.

As your lease term ends, you have several options. You can trade in your vehicle for an upgrade, keep it by purchasing it, or simply return it.
