Ford is a pioneer in the auto industry and one of the most recognized brands worldwide. With its quality vehicles, Ford has revolutionized auto markets in the U.S. and around the globe. Now, automakers are venturing into new territory by increasing the production of electric vehicles (EVs).
Ford to Double EV Production
According to CEO Jim Farley, Ford has announced plans to double its current EV production throughout the year, in the U.S. and at its facilities worldwide. Ford already produces EVs domestically, including the ever-popular Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, and exports key models around the globe. Currently, Ford rolls out about 100,000 EVs per year; by the end of 2025, it aims to reach 250,000.
Ford's Electric Vehicles
One of its most popular EVs is the Mustang Mach-E, an SUV that's as fun to drive as it is stylish. The Mach-E offers various powertrain configurations, averages 320 miles of range, and remains one of the market's most competitively priced electric SUVs.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is another standout. As the all-electric version of America's favorite pickup, the Lightning averages 240 miles of range, delivers brisk acceleration for a truck, and provides substantial towing capability.
