While it's not the toughest car on the lot, the 2019 Ford Fiesta is quite lovable. Its suspension is stout without being harsh, its transmission is approachable, and it's very thrifty on fuel. The Fiesta is budget-friendly entertainment in the form of a pint-sized hatchback, and we'll tell you more about its features, performance, and safety below.
Though we're grateful that Ford decided to keep selling the Fiesta for another year, they've only put off the inevitable; there will be no more made after May 2019. In the meantime, the Fiesta has carried over unchanged from last year.
The 2019 Fiesta is convenient, efficient, and fun. With four different trim levels, there's a Fiesta for every need and every budget.
The Fiesta S comes with a five-speed manual transmission and 1.6L four-cylinder engine. Its interior has just over 85 cubic feet of passenger area, as well as 12.8 cubic feet of cargo room. The S also comes with a six-speaker audio system, 4.2" LCD panel, and a backup camera.
The Fiesta SE is a step up. It has a center console, power windows, auto headlights, and cruise control. You'll also get the Ford MyKey system, which lets you program the key with maximum speed, audio volume, and other settings to promote safe and sensible driving habits.
If cargo area is important to you, consider the SE Hatchback. Here, you'll get 14.9 cu. ft. of cargo area behind the seats. The Ford Fiesta ST-Line brings a significant expansion of the standard features list. Inside, you'll find a leather-covered steering wheel, red contrast stitching, ambient lighting, aluminum pedals, and smartphone integration. Outside, you'll get a dual chrome exhaust, 16" blacked-out aluminum wheels, fog lights, and an exclusive Shadow Black paint scheme on certain parts. At the top of the heap is the Fiesta ST. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission, 1.6L EcoBoost engine, leather trim, driver's seat lumbar support, and push-button ignition. Outside, it comes with 17" aluminum wheels, mirror-mounted turn signals, and a sport-tuned suspension.
All 2019 Ford Fiestas come with a six-speed manual transmission and 1.6L engine; the ST is turbocharged. This engine combo puts out 197hp and 202 lb. ft. of torque, which feels quite peppy in consideration of the vehicle's size. The chassis is quite forgiving, and the manual transmission's seamless shifts allow even an inexperienced driver to flourish. The suspension is firm, yet comfortable, and its steering and braking are precise.
The 2019 Fiesta has plenty of features throughout, but we understand that safety is a primary consideration for many buyers. It has numerous safety features, such as a full complement of airbags, height-adjustable, three-point safety belts, a post-collision alert system, and more. Finally, the included SecuriLock anti-theft system does a fine job of keeping potential burglars away.
The 2019 Ford Fiesta may be on its way out, but with its safety, performance, and comfort features, it's set to go out with a bang. Visit us online for more information or stop by our dealership to take a test drive today.
