Specs at a Glance
The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport is an ideal choice for drivers seeking a compact SUV with serious off-road capability. The Big Bend is the base model, while the Badlands edition is the premium top-of-the-line version. While the Badlands is more powerful and has additional features, either option is great if you're looking to get off the pavement and explore the great outdoors.
Performance
The Big Bend has a 180-horsepower, 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that provides more than enough power to get you wherever you need to go. Nonetheless, drivers looking for a true performance vehicle with enhanced off-road capabilities will definitely want to opt for the Badlands edition, which features a 2-liter, four-cylinder engine that boasts an impressive 250 horsepower. While the Big Bend is standard all-wheel drive, the Badlands has an advanced 4x4 all-wheel drivetrain.
The more powerful engine provides faster acceleration, a higher towing capacity, and much better performance when climbing hills on- and off-road. It also comes standard with enhanced off-road equipment, including an off-road-tuned lifted suspension, steel skid plates, and a twin-clutch rear drive that can channel torque to a single rear wheel for improved traction.
The Big Bend has five G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) driving modes. The Badlands includes two additional G.O.A.T. modes-Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl-allowing you to tackle even more types of terrain with ease.
Appearance
Both editions share the classic styling people have come to expect from the new Bronco Sport, but there are noticeable differences between the two. The Big Bend comes standard with a body color roof. You can upgrade to a shadow-black roof, which is standard on the Badlands. Both models come standard with black door handles and a carbonized black grille with white BRONCO lettering. Drivers who choose the Big Bend can instead opt for body-color handles and either a carbon-black grille with black lettering or an ebony-black grille with bronze lettering.
Features
Both models come with numerous premium features, including the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 suite of driver-assistance and safety features. The Badlands suite gets an upgrade with front parking sensors and a surround-view camera system with trail view. It also boasts additional premium features, such as a larger 12.3-inch cluster display instead of the standard 8-inch display, leather-trimmed heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and optional remote start.
