When you think “summer,” what comes to mind? Lazy, hot days at the beach, working in the garden, or packing up the family car for a vacation?

Summer will be here before we know it. Unfortunately, it’s a season that passes too quickly. While it seems impossible to believe that we could be thinking of Labor Day already, we couldn’t help ourselves when we learned about Ford’s Arts, Beats & Eats event.

Ford Stories: Hope in Detroit, Michigan

Have you ever had a long-held belief, and one day had it turned completely on its head? That’s what happened to Treger Strasberg when she learned more about homelessness in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Strasberg said that she was shocked to learn that most of the homeless population was made up of single mothers.

The new advocate for this underserved population went on to work with Humble Design, a home interior design company that provides families in transition with fully furnished and beautifully decorated homes.
